1. Different uses. The main raw materials for producing circuit boards are alkali-free glass cloth, fiber paper and epoxy resin. Fiberglass board: base material fiberglass cloth, epoxy board: adhesive is epoxy resin, FR4: base material cotton fiber paper. All three are fiberglass boards.

2. Different colors. Usually the epoxy board on the market is phenolic epoxy, yellow. It is not used as a base material for rigid circuit boards, but for electrical insulation. FR4 is a pure epoxy board according to NEMA standards. The normal color is dark green, which is the color of epoxy. There are also yellow ones. Generally speaking, yellow FR4 is called yellow material, and white (green) is called white material. FR4 is more expensive than epoxy board, and the price of fiberglass board cannot be confirmed.

3. Different properties. Fiberglass board has the characteristics of sound absorption, sound insulation, heat insulation, environmental protection, and flame retardancy. FR-4 is also known as glass fiber board; glass fiber board; FR4 reinforcement board; FR-4 epoxy resin board; flame retardant insulation board; epoxy board, FR4 bare board. Epoxy board, glass fiber board, contains active epoxy groups in its molecular structure, which can react with various types of curing agents to form an insoluble, infusible polymer with a three-dimensional mesh structure.

FR-4 epoxy glass fiber cloth substrate, a type of substrate with epoxy resin as adhesive and electronic grade glass fiber cloth as reinforcing material. Its bonding sheet and inner core thin copper clad laminate are important substrates for making multi-layer printed circuit boards.

Performance: The mechanical properties, dimensional stability, impact resistance and moisture resistance of epoxy glass fiber cloth substrate are higher than those of paper substrate. It has excellent electrical properties, high operating temperature, and its own performance is less affected by the environment. In terms of processing technology, it has great advantages over other resin glass fiber cloth substrates. This type of product is mainly used for double-sided PCBs and is used in large quantities.

Application: Epoxy glass fiber cloth substrate, the most widely used product model is FR-4. Due to the development needs of electronic product installation technology and PCB technology, high Tg FR-4 products have emerged.
